Dumplings

The ultimate Asian holiday!!! Happy CNy. AAAND to celebrate this occasion, I'm gonna share with you a recipe I learned for the best dish on the table- dumplings!!!!!!!!!

You'll need:

about 30-40 wonton wrappers

1 cup ground pork or beef

2 small scallions

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tbsp soya sauce

To make the little suckers:

1. Thaw the wonton wrappers if they're hard. If not, then get on with it.

2. With a fork, lightly loosen out the meat or it'll be hardish and lumpy. Add the garlic, green onions and soya sauce and lightly mix.

3. Drop a small teaspoon amount of the meat filling onto the center of each wonton wrapper. VERY GENTLY (or you'll destroy it) fold the wrapper in half and VERY GENTLY (or you'll destroy it) press the edges together with your fingertips. Phew. Hope you didn't end up with demented ones. ^^

4A. To steam them, boil water and drop them in. Weeee.

4B. To fry them, which gives it a crispy outside but a little higher on the sat fat, heat about 2-3 tbsp of oil into a pan and dump as many dumplings as you can at once. Just fry them until they get brown and the meat isn't pinkie.=D

5. Blot them if you fried them so they arent infused with grease. It's unappealing. If you boiled them, drain them out.

6. Now you can eat them- Happy CNY =D
